Hi,
Just bought Lumidesk Nano module and in the Live screen, I find really difficult to read button description when your computer screen is in the dark (often the case during live shows). Is it a way to modify either the background color (currently dark Grey), the button color (Grey) or the color of the font (Dark Grey)?

you cannot change the background color or the Button display, but I could update that and put it on the next Beta version. You will be able to pick a background color for the Live window.

That would be great. I have now around 50 buttons spread over 10 cuelist......and read what cuelist it is or what is the button description in the cuelist is difficult.

I guess to make it more readable the font color used in the button to write the description could help first.
Now for sure if we can choose the button color, the Light Jockey could use a color convention to identify easily the button action without having to read the description.....
(if you create a color cuelist hosting color cues (to set the desired color to the fixture),,,if you can assign red color to the button setting the red color in the fixture, yellow for the button setting the yellow color ......even be able to have blinking button (for the button setting the strobe function!!) would be amazing !!)

I can do the same as the Live Actions buttons, you can change the design, same with the group buttons.

Good morning.
Now you can change the color's background in the live view. Please edit the _Global.ini file from the LumiDesk folder. Add these lines :

[LIVECOL]
Red = 127
Green = 127
Blue=127

You just need to put the correct values for Red, Green and Blue.

I'm going to post a new beta version.
Now you are able to change 3 colors. Please see the picture below



Red, Green, Blue will be for the background color
Red2, Green2 , Blue2 for the normal state buttons text
Red3, Green3, Blue 3 for the enabled state buttons text

so on the _Global.ini file you can have something like that:

[LIVECOL]
Red = 127
Green = 127
Blue=127
Red2 = 0
Green2 = 0
Blue2=255
Red3 = 255
Green3 = 0
Blue3=0

It definitely helps for a better reading.

As I wrote before, the ultimate settings would be to be able to assign colors (background, font) for each button, and not globally.
During live show, visual help are capitals for DJs.

Hello, I just updated the BETA version.

I think you are going to like it.
Now you don't need to edit the _global.ini file anymore.
To setup the background color, the text color on the tool bar (master dimmer and speed) and the default text color of the sequences en cues buttons you have a new window.

Go to Configuration > General setting > Live.



Second improvement. You can pick a design and assign your own color on each Live button (Cues or Sequences). Right click to the button > Color
you will get a window like this one :



if the Text color is disabled you will have the default colors (the one you just setup on the settings window). To pick a design you just need to click on one of the 6 buttons.

Everything will be stored on the show.

Would it be possible to extend the choice for the button background selection (cue and sequence) to let the user choose in fact the color for both actions, in stead of to have "only" the choice on the 6 predefined color?

With the latest Beta version you can design the buttons by picking colors, even for the Live Button Action.

You did it! Perfect ! Now we have complete flexibility to set the colors.
The live panel is much more readable and will help a lot during live show !
I really think it is a great enhancement and I am glad (to have asked for it and) you did it!

Got an issue with the colors button, a very anoying one......
Colors buttons programed are not saved, or "wrongly saved". Let me describe what I see, taking an example with 2 buttons:
Button1 : Button color1=Red, Button color2=Yellow, Button color3=Orange
Button2 : Button color1= Blue, Button color2=Yellow, Button color3=Orange

More and more often now, when starting Lumidesk and going to Live desktop, the colors are not as programed:
Button1 : Button color1=Yellow, Button color2=Red, Button color3=Orange
Button2 : Button color1= Yellow, Button color2=Blue, Button color3=Orange
---> it seems that Button color1 and Button color2 values are reversed !!
As my 80 buttons have all Button color2=Yellow and Button color3=Orange, when the issue occurs, all my buttons are Yellow (as Button color1=Yellow due to the issue).....
What is worrying me a lot, is that mofiying back the color button, saving the ldk file, closing lumidesk and restarting lumidesk -> the issue is back.....

I have 2 laptops....one with August Beta version, the other with October beta version -> issue in both version/laptop.

I installed the beta version so that I can use the color buttons but the beta version isn't working on windows 7.... The beta version don't recognize my interface. Can someone help me ??
