Re: DMX triggers for sequences / cues?

Ok I found the DMX in tab on the Settings for the cue / sequence in Live mode when I was using the computer with the controller plugged in. But I don't have it when I'm running my on my home computer without the controller connected. I guess this is a limitation of Demo mode. Unfortunately the contr...

DMX triggers for sequences / cues?

Is there a way to use DMX input as a trigger for Cue/Sequence change I have a old 24 channel DMX desk which I can connect to the DMX input on the Lumidesk Ultimate What I'd like to do is to link DMX inputs to Cues and Sequences. e.g. if channel 1 on the DMX input is on (say more than 75%) I want CUE...

Version Log

PLEASE can you post changes here so that we can see what changes and bug fixes have been done.

A video is fine in certain circumstances but a written list of changes to the program makes it clear what has changed for each version.

Re: Fade IN/ Fade Out problem

Hi Sorry for delay in getting back to you we've just finished a run of "Calendar Girls" to packed houses. Anyway I had a look at the thread mentioned above. It covers various issues with Fade In / Fade Out but doesn't cover the issue that the "white" channel of the RGBW led jumps...

Fade IN/ Fade Out problem

I'm using the generic RGBW fixture. On this fixture there are 4 DMX channels. Channel 1 is RED Channel 2 is Green Channel 3 is BLUE Channel 4 is WHITE When I fade in / out of a sequence (set Using Auto Fade In/ Fade Out on right click menu for the sequence in Live mode) the RGB channels behave as ex...

Easy Remote: Comments

I've had a play with easy remote in the last couple of weks and have the following comments. 1. It's cool. I can wander around the theatre and change from one sequence to another from wherever i happen to be 2. It works in an i-phone as well as an i-pad. If a remote screen is designed for an i-pad i...

Saving BPM settings

Hi When I setup for a pantomime recently I wanted to use the Audio Analysis to trigger changes from one scene to another in one of my sequences. I setup the sequence to be triggered by BPM then went to BPM settings and set it to Audio Anaylsis. Then I saved the everything. After that I closed Lumide...

Re: Audio Analyser problem

Julien & Peter This sounds (excuse the pun) very much like the problem I was having. I must admit I hadn't picked up on the AGC function causing the analyser to start analysing noise. But it does explain why it crashed it would just crash after a while. On the released version it also crashed if...

Re: Problem with presets layout

Second monitor not an option. PC only has one VGA output.

I'm seriously considering replacing it as it's causing other problems as well (see Audio Analyser crashes posts)

Re: Audio Analyser problem

Hi The Beta that you sent me a couple of days ago still crashes when i use Audio Analyser. But this time the crash is different. Now the Audio analysier window stops working (the audio stops scrolling across the screen) and then a few seconds later the window disappears. After this Lumidesk stops re...

Re: Problem with presets layout

Using the Feb 2011 version last night (which doesn't have the help buttons on the screen) I tried again to expand the Presets window as far to the left as I could. As before I can't move the divider far enough left to be able to get two Colour Wheel side by side. Screen resolution set to 1280 x 1024.

Re: Problem with presets layout

If removing the help buttons will allow the desktop side of the screen to be narrower than present then I'd say yes go for it.

Otherwise it would be more useful to be able to undock the desktop and presets so they can be re-sized as required and sit on top of each other if required.

Re: Audio Analyser problem

I'm using the latest full release. (August 2011) The audio analyser has changed since the last release. I've just tried this on my home PC. It seems to work perfectly. My home PC is a 2.7G E5400 with 2G RAM and a separate video card. The theatre PC is a very old DELL with just 512M RAM and a graphic...

Re: Problem with presets layout

I'm at the theatre now.

The monitor is running at 1280 x 1024 resolution.

I can't move the divide between the Desktop and the Presets windows far enough to the left to get more than one colour wheel across the width of the presets window.

Re: Problem with presets layout

I've done a little experiment since i got home. I managed to resize the presets window which allowed two of the colour wheels to sit next to each other on the top row and the other coluor wheel and the other controls to appear underneath them. On my home PC with resolution at 1440 x 900 i get all th...

Re: Problem with presets layout

Hi At home I have a 22" wide screen monitor running at 1440*900 whilst at the theatre we have a standard 19" monitor running at 1024*768. On both screens the bottom colour wheel and the two smaller controls are off the bottom of the screen which means we have to scroll down the screen to g...

Problem with presets layout

Hi I'm using Lumidesk to control some LED battens. They are Stairville LED RGD 252. I'm using the fixture already in the scan library "led bar rgb 252-10 ldl w rgb 001". This has three RGB colour wheels, one control channel with presets to select the operating mode of the fixture and one s...

Problems with Music on Cues / Sequences

Hi. I was setting up a show last night and Lumidesk was driving me crazy. Here's my scenario. I have a peice of music which I need to play. Part way through the music I want to change the lighting. The time that I do this needs to be controlled manually (because of what the actors are doing at the t...

Re: Problem with BPM settings not saved

I downloaded the latest version from the website yesterday. (version 14.10.24 Feb 9 2011) I loaded a show, went to live mode, set BPM settings as i want them, then exited the program. When I ran Lumidesk again the BPM settings are back to the default (fixed 120BPM). So BPM settings are not being sav...

Re: Problem with BPM settings not saved

The version i have doesn't save the settings. If they are saved by the program is this when the program is exited. In which case they definately are not saved. I downloaded version mid january. has this changed since then? It would be much better to save as part of the show rather than as a program ...

Changing from one Cue to the next in live mode

I was using my Lumidesk Ultra on a show at the weekend. In live mode i found i could set each sequence in a cue to work in either stacked mode (to allow more than one sequence to be active at a time) or another mode (can't remember what it's called) where if i click one sequence then another the fir...

Problem with BPM settings not saved

I was using a Lumidesk Ultra that we purchased a few months ago at a show last weekend. I used the latest released evrsion of the software and the latest firmware. I had a recurring problem which nearly drove me mad. I set a couple of my sequences to use BPM settings for changing from one scene to t...
