Review your fixture layout. Try to identify where in the line the fixtures are located. I've seen flicker issues come from non DMX cables being used, and fixtures going bad. You can open the DMX level chart to view the DMX output values to verify what outputs are being sent.

The quad phase is basically a spin and puke light. It's light beams are little dashes. Big difference from a scanner or moving head with a gobo. The 3D is a great offline tool, but like I said, for spin and puke lights, it's better to program with the light connected. What's the big deal? Plug it in...

I don't think programming fixtures like the quad phase offline in the 3D visualizer is practical. Some fixtures you gotta plug it in and program it. The good thing is these lights are smal and more portable that moving heads and scanners.

By the way, this was on an XP SP3 system.
Re: Live Mode
Why can't you just record the scene in the desktop view like it's intended for you to do?

Auto save Crashes Lumidesk
Whatever the interval set to save, lumidesk crashes. When not activated seems to run fine. This is on the 12.13 release.
Re: DMX in
Larry, I'm fairly certain the software will have to be open and connected to the Lumidesk interface to allow for dmx input. I don't think the standalone feature on the ultimate interface will work without the woftware connected. I could be wrong though!

uploading to memory
As long as I can remember everytime I go to upload scenes to the interface, the scenes that are there always get erased. Say I upload scenes from show A to page 1 of the ultimate interface. Then I want to upload scenes from show B to page 2. When I load up show B, even though the scenes I'm uploadin...

Re: Fixture Preset not showing in 2nd Fixture
Still using Oct 22 beta, I got it to do it once. The mx4 colors were different between the first fixture and the second fixture. I removed the fixtures and re-patched them and they worked fine. Could be something wityh the fixture profiles? I see that the graphics for the gobos are incomplete. (hens...

It should come with an ac cord, usb cable, and the interface. remote controls are not included. any universal remote should work for IR control.

Re: Hello form a noob
Yeah Lumidesk has been around since late 2007 and early 2008. So it's still a young product. The forum is even younger. Lumidesk is pretty simple to use with basic functions. So alot of people don't need to seek help. The more complex use lumidesk gets, the more need for help from forum users. There...

Re: Hello form a noob
There is a family of suites where the core programming is used, but is customized to offer features in different forms. So the software packages can be branded and sold for different applications. They share the same visualizer and many of the same icons. But the menu system of each program and arra...

Re: New Lumidesk Beta Available!
So far I'm enjoying the new beta. But the window won't maximize on my screen. To scroll down to other presets, I first have to slide the preset window to the right so I can access the preset scroll slider. May be my screen resolution (1024x768), but I've always been able to slide the desktop seperat...

Re: Fixture Preset not showing in 2nd Fixture
Seems to run fine on my desktop. I can select each mx4 seperatly or together. Test with your interface connected but with no fixtures, connected with fixtures, and with the interface not connected to your computer (demo mode). Do you have the same problem?

Re: Problem with April Beta?
Ok....so I figured it out. I clicked on the hardware button on the configuration tab and had to connect Universe 1 to the dmx output of the interface. No idea how or why it was disconnected. But that was the problem.

I've reinstalled the April Beta, and have the same results. The lights fuction correctly on the shows loaded onto the SD card of the Ultimate V2 interface. I'm testing with a different fixture, Color Splash Jr. and am having the same results. I just noticed that upon executing the Beta, the software recognizes the ultimate interface, but upon loading a show the interface dissconnect icon shows in the lower right hand corner of the UI. So I'm going to r...
