uploading to memory

Post by CMBDJ »

As long as I can remember everytime I go to upload scenes to the interface, the scenes that are there always get erased. Say I upload scenes from show A to page 1 of the ultimate interface. Then I want to upload scenes from show B to page 2. When I load up show B, even though the scenes I'm uploading are going to page 2, page 1 gets erased.

Is it possible to fix it where the software won't erase the contents of the memory card every time you upload something?

Hi Casey

That would make alot of sense to do it that way, and maybe a dedicated way to erase the memory card, either partially or fully.

Lets see what happens - I am still waiting for my hardware to arrive !

Cheers

It may create a little more work, but if you want to be in first place you have to train like your second, so buy putting these little bits in place will eventually make Lumidesk first place.

Hi Julien

I have downloaded and installed, but when I run the software ( with the hardware connected ) it still shows as in demo mode.

Hi Julien

Thats done the job !

Software loaded ok and i was able to click on the stand alone tab.

The manager launched ok and i clicked on the icon to the right of the "write the interface memory" and th eprogram gave the following error

live controll software has stopped working
a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available
close program

on this machine I am using a quad core 2.4 Ghz CPU with 4 Gb of ram and Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit

Hope that helps

played with this a little bit tonight and it worked well. Upon reconnecting the interface the shows I loaded from my previous session were visible in the screen view. Will play with moe and let you know.

In dealing with my ultimate v1 problem, I wanted to load scenes from multiple shows onto my v2 interface. I want to upload scenes to page A from show 1, then close that show, and open show 2, and save scenes from show 2 to page B. When I do this, page A gets erased, and all I have is what was last loaded to page B.

When I reopen show 1 and go to the hardware page, the scenes loaded onto page 1 are visible on the screen, but the interface will not scroll through the scenes. It just stays on A00. I'm not certain if this is by design or still just a bug. I would think the ability to load multiple shows to memory would be good as a backup....to match several setup configurations....1 per page.

I'm not sure if I found the memory config you mentioned adding to the beta back in november or December. I don't see anyting that matches that procedure in lumidesk or in the tool utility.

Hello Casey,
when you write the memory, everything you put before is erased. To load different show, the best way would be to import different cues / sequences from another show to a new one. I'm working on the "import cue / sequence" function, I will let you know when it will be ready to test
Thanks
