I programmed some simple looks and added a 3 second fade in, but there is an annoying FLASH at the beginning. Any ideas here?

What happends if you set a fade out time?

i have the same problems. whit and without fade out option.

what version (date) of lumidesk are you running?

I hope I am doing this right. I am new to programming lights.

I create a CUE that consists of one SCENE. When I right-click the scene under the live tab, I can monkey with some settings - one of which is setting a fade time which creates a nice, smooth fade except a bright flash at the beginning.

Is this the way I am supposed to be doing this?

did this ever get fixed? i'm having a flash on some simple stage wash settings, no moving lights just washes. I have a fade up and a fade down but i'm still getting a flash.

Hi,
I had the exact same problem. First i thought that it had something to do with EasyView, but in de DMX-level screen you can see that Lumidesk actually sends out the flash.
I solved it by creating a two scene sequence, where the fade-in occurs from scene1 to scene2, thus rendering the fade-in in the settings of the live-tab unneccesary. Using the fade-out in de settings screen gives no problems.
However, it would be nice if this issue was solved, of course.
By the way, the fade-in setting in the first scene of any sequence never works. I had to work around that as well.

so i checked these settings and it worked once but i'm still getting the flashing. The only difference on my settings is that i have a fade out time on many of them.

I will as soon as i get to church where the program is :)Casey's settings worked for like a second but when i tried it again it flashed again weird..thanks in advance for the help!

I was able to recreate this last night. If the master dimmer fader is active, with fade in and fade out settings on my sequences, the scene will flash at 100% and then jump to the master dimmer setting. This was on Feb 2011 release version.
