Can't get Lumidesk stable

I've used Lumidesk for a year now. The program is amazing to work with. Unfortunately I can't get it stable.

For the use of this program I've bought a laptop. (Packard Bell Easy-Note TM. Intel I5, 4GB Ram, Windows 7:64 bits)
From the very first time I'm having trouble with Lumidesk. I've installed all the drivers and run it as administrator.
The version I'm using is "jan 10 2011". With all later versions the controlling of fixtures doesn't work with me.

But that's not the main problem. Sometimes when I'm programming, Lumidesk just closes. This also happens when I'm in the middle of a show.
The only thing my computer displays is "Lumidesk does not reply anymore".

I'm quite desperate. I've tried all the sollutions to solve this problems. Different interfaces, reboot system, re install lumidesk.

Can anybody of Lumidesk help me with these problems?

I've been running the Feb 2011 version with no problem. On win xp and windows 7 64 bit. As I recall there was a bug with an early 2011 version with autosave. So be sure that the auto save every (1 minute) is disabled.

As I mentioned, Lumidesk releases have always been stable for me. And I've run it on XP and windows 7 systems. Do you use the program on a weekly basis? What type of application are you using it for?

I am having the same problem, i'm using the newest beta version, Windows 7 and run it on Aministrator. I'm finding if i click something that it doesnt like it just shuts itself off. I cant run a software that is going to just shut down in a middle of a church service...so how do i fix this?

First off, if you're running a beta, expect there to be issues. That's why it's a beta. I would go back to a release and test.

In the start I don't use the autosave function. After Lumidesk "crashes" a few times I start using it. Autosave every 5 minutes.

I have used Lumidesk an half year almost every week. Most of the time in a club where all the fixtures where permanently installed with solid dmx adresses. Next to this gig I've also used it for some weddingparty's and other applications.

So the problem starts at different locations, with different fixtures and so on..

Somebody have a sollution for me?

So you're saying that auto save works fine for you, and that Lumidesk crashes even if it's deactivated?

On the machines that you're using, what else is connected to them when you're running Lumidesk? Is the machine dedicated to running lights only?

@Casey Brown
Yes, with or without autosave doesn't make any different. The auto-save function works okay. When I'm busy with a lightshow Lumidesk is the only application that's running. Some times I use the laptop for audio apllications, but most of the time Lumidesk.

@Julien
The problem don't exist only in one show. It appaers in a show that's used (without any problems) by many other people and laptops, and sometimes in a brand new show. So it's not related to one show I think. I've got this error with and without an interface connected...

Shall I send you an email for direct contact?

Try the new beta. I'm still running the release from Feb 2011, but it's not up on the site anymore. Give the beta a try and see how it performs.

Update to the current beta and see if it does any better.
