problem with movie recorder

I've got a meeting tomorrow and am trying to record a movie of a 3D setup I made. I've been able to set my position points, but can't seem to get the camera to actually record! After recording the show, the file shows 0 kbs in size. What am I missing?

I pull up the movie recorder window, set my file, press record, and start playback of my light show. the camera changes angles....and I get a stop video recording at the end of the camera angle duration (hold and wait times). I try to playback the file in the video tab, nothing but an emtpy grey screen. and Try to playback the recorded movie in wondows but shows 0 kbs. HELP!!

I have never used this feature so cant be of much assistance, but I have had similar problems when playing back other footage from other verndors software, are all your players upto date ?

For example

Flash
Shockwave
Authorware
Silverlight

Just a thought

Using the 12.13 date Julian. As for players, shockwave, flash whatever...I'm not sure what's installed on that machine. I'll double check and post.

After installing Divix on my gig machine....the movie record worked when I selected the Divix option. I was trying to use the WindowsMedia Player option before.

So I recorded my movie...loaded it on my laptop....made the presentation...and got the gig!

Glad you got the gig !

It sounds to me like there is a problem with the AVI Codec hence the player not showing the content, as divx uses diferent codecs.

Jullien should be able to let you know what codec is used when the recording is being done and how to resolve the issue.
