RGB with locked amber or white channel not working

I have an RGBA fixture, and I'm trying to use the color wheel with an amber channel. I added the RGB channel and the white/amber channel in scan library. In the desktop mode, I right clicked on the amber channel and selected auto. I move the color wheel around, but nothing happens with the amber/white channel. I watch the DMX values and the amber/white channel never moves.

In short, when can we expect to see RGBA, RGBW, and RGBAW color wheels so this madness can stop?
