Connecting to EasyRemote via Adhoc

Will the Lumidesk remote function connect to the app via an adhoc connection?

I've been able to get the http connection to work over adhoc, but not the app. I've been able to do both over a wifi connection.

My ipad is connected to the adhoc network, but the app does not connect to the software. How do I ping the ipad?

ok first you need to know the IP address of your Ipad, then open a MSDOS window on your PC and type ping 192.168.1.10 change the 192.168.1.10 with your ipad ip. If you have success there is a problem if not you need to check your configuration

I can ping my ipad address. But can not get easy remote and lumidesk to connect. running the Oct release, although it says Aug 31 in the splash screen.

I just tried with the beta and the alpha and the adhoc connection pings but does not connect with lumidesk.

Hello Casey, did you try with a router, does it work good ? What OS are you using with the AdHoc connection ?

With a router, the connection is fine. Only with an adhoc can I not make a connection with Lumidesk and the app. I've tried it with Windows 7 64 bit and XP 32 bit.To get through the weekend I may just take my router to the show. Would be extremely handy to have the ipad in hand and change the uplighting color to the bride's choice.

I have not tested the adhoc since January. I'll try to test it some time today with the January 16th release.
