the new RBG quick access

Ok so ive been playing with the RBG Quick access pop up. I'm not understanding just how this works. I didn't see a tutorial on it can you explain this feature?

slect your fixtures. set your color. click the rgb access button. right click on a square and click as you see.

It can be very helpful if you can color mix on your fixtures. I use it for my own uplighting presets. Different shades of pink, purple, and blue.
